Munich, June 25, 2024. idealworks, a leading deep tech company in the realm of industrial automation, announces the appointment of Markus Schmermund as its Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective September 1st, 2024. In this role, he will spearhead all commercial activities, further propelling the company’s growth and global market presence.
With over two decades of experience in automation and intralogistics, Markus Schmermund brings a wealth of expertise and strategic vision to idealworks. Most recently, as Vice President Product Management Automation & Intralogistics Solutions at KION Group, he played a key role in driving innovation and successfully transforming the company from a product provider to a solution provider.
Schmermund’s career includes notable tenures at KION ITS EMEA, a member of the KION Group, and SSI Schäfer Group, where he held senior leadership positions and demonstrated a remarkable ability to deliver results. His extensive background in business consultancy and enterprise solutions uniquely positions him to drive idealworks‘ commercial strategy forward.
