MoldTecs adopted idealworks’ robotics ecosystem at their facility in Laval, France, not only to optimize processes but also to create a safer and more efficient work environment, paving the way for a modernized approach to intralogistics. Their journey highlights how tailored automation solutions can bring tangible benefits even in the most complex operational environments.
Zalando is using idealworks’ robotics ecosystem as part of its logistics automation. The autonomous robots, iw.hub, autonomously transport orders in the outbound area, automating repetitive and physically demanding tasks. The robots are controlled via the cloud platform AnyFleet, integrated with Zalando’s IT system ZalOs. Following success in Mönchengladbach, the system has also been implemented in Lahr/Black Forest, enabling Zalando to respond flexibly to logistics demands.
The Geis Group has been using idealworks’ iw.hub and the AnyFleet cloud platform at the World Distribution Center in Neu-Isenburg since 2022. The iw.hub, as an autonomous mobile robot (AMR), automates pallet transport within the warehouse, while AnyFleet controls the fleet and enables real-time monitoring of logistics processes. This solution optimizes pallet handling, reduces forklift traffic, and increases operational efficiency.
The Noerpel Group started a pilot project with idealworks at its Giengen I site, employing idealworks’ Intelligent Automation Platform AnyFleet alongside Melkus Mechatronic’s autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to increase operational efficiency. This integration has streamlined operations, enabling quick and autonomous adjustments.

AnyFleet is a cloud-steering platform that optimizes automated processes in connected industrial facilities. It is a key component of our holistic solution. AnyFleet acts as a fleet management software with live monitoring and enables the integration of third-party devices, such as AMRs or AGVs, via the standardized communication interface VDA 5050. AnyFleet’s traffic management detects and prevents collisions and is able to handle complex situations.
As part of idealworks’ approach to enable the logistics of the future and ensure safe operations and optimized material flows, the cloud platform connects to various third-party devices. The VDA 5050 communication interface allows various AMRs and AGVs to be integrated. AnyFleet also connects IoT devices like doors, sensors, stations, and traffic lights, and computer systems like WMS and ERP.
iw.os is designed for mobile robot vendors to power their AMRs through our five modular components: cloud connector, AMR navigation, AI on the edge, hardware drivers, and DevOps toolkit. The iw.os software stack has been an integral part of the iw.hub since its inception.
